PUBLIC SCHOOLS

I began my teaching career in 1986 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.  I taught in the Arlington Public Schools for a few years before my husband, Jerry, and I began our family.  We have 2 sons, Ty and Trenton, graduates of Weleetka High School, both currently in college. 

My first year in the Weleetka Public Schools was in 1997 as a Kindergarten Teacher.  I have also taught Second Grade, Sixth Grade and I'm currently teaching Reading in 4-6 Grades. 

I received my National Board Certification in 2007 in the area of Early Childhood Generalist and earned my Master's in Education Administration in 2011 from Southwestern State University.  I am in my 2nd year as Assistant Principal of Weleetka Elementary. 

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, and playing the keyboard at my church, First Baptist Church of Weleetka.
